We are now focusing on SUP in Yashiro, and it all started when a customer of a store that runs a SUP school in Obama came to Yashiro. We wondered why, since we see the same scenery every day, so we tried SUP once. Unlike boats, SUPs don't cut through the waves, so you can see the surface of the ocean very clearly. Yashiro, which is said to have the clearest water in Obama, is perfect for SUP. I was so hooked that I even got an instructor's license.

Yashiro has many points of interest that you can visit while SUPing. There are six small beaches, two caves, and three unusual rock formations, and it takes about three hours for a beginner to complete a round trip. The red rock that is split in two that can be seen from the beach is said to resemble a rock from a popular cartoon. Paddles and life jackets are available for rent for 3,000 yen for two hours, and even first-time SUPers will be up and running in about 10 minutes.
